The writing formats of hard-pen calligraphy paper include: fan, rectangular fan with squares in the middle, banana fan with rectangular small squares in the middle, large rectangular small and medium squares, flower window grille fan with small squares, etc.
The first type, fan.
The content of the fan is relatively free, it can be poetry, famous sentences, couplets, or a paragraph. The writing style is generally running script or cursive script. Depending on the length of the written content, there can be a single line, a double line, or multiple lines between the two lines. In short, the center line of each line of qi should point to the origin, so that the whole article is distributed in a fan shape.
The second type is a rectangle with squares in the fan.
The content written in this format is usually old-style poetry. The picture shows 20 small squares, which are specially designed for writing Wujue or five-character (four-sentence) poems. It can be used in all calligraphy styles including seal script, official script, cursive script and regular script. It should be emphasized that with this fixed format, there is no need to add punctuation marks after each sentence.
The third type is the banana fan with small rectangular squares in it.
The paper pattern in the picture has 60 cells and is divided into two, with 30 cells on each side. This kind of paper type is most suitable for writing old style words, and it is specially used to write middle-tone words, such as Linjiangxian, Bodhisattvaman, Yulouchun and other words. All five forms can be used, and punctuation can be added at the end of the sentence.
The fourth type is large rectangular medium and small squares.
The format shown in the picture is specially used to write Qijue or seven-character (four sentences) old-style poems. As long as it is a small square, it can be written in any calligraphy style, and there is generally no punctuation at the end of the sentence.
The fifth type is the flower window grille fan-shaped with small squares inside.
The writing requirements are the same as above, except that the blank space for the signature is placed in the middle.
