It is generally believed that this is due to the low water temperature and the poor cold tolerance of goldfish, especially when it encounters severe cold, which makes the swim bladder lose its ability to adjust and balance. General goldfish species such as longevity head, lion head, blister eye, butterfly tail and so on. People with short fish body, well-developed head sarcoma or too straight or upturned tail fin are more likely to suffer from this disease.
Sick fish lie on their side, stand upside down, and even float in the water or sink to the bottom with their bellies facing the sky. When touching the sick fish with your hands, you can swim normally for a period of time, but the above abnormal state will appear repeatedly at intervals, and sometimes you can eat, and the growth and development of healthy fish are obviously slow, but this fish generally does not die soon. Once the temperature rises gradually, the disease may be relieved, or even basically return to normal. The onset season is generally more common in late autumn and winter.
Prevention and control methods:
(1) Before and after winter, move the fish indoors or in a greenhouse for culture. If you spend the winter outdoors, you should bury the cylinder in one third to one half of the soil and cover it at night to prevent freezing.
(2) If the goldfish lies on its side or sinks to the bottom of the water, it can be picked up with the water in the basin, then a small sewing needle is used to put on the non-perishable nylon cotton thread, and one end is covered with foam the size of a bottle cap. Then, the sewing needle passes through the bases of the second and third goldfish dorsal fin, tied with two knots, and then the foam buoy is fixed on it. Don't be too short, too short goldfish can't go down to the middle of the water to feed or swim. As for the fixed position of the buoy, it depends on the depth of the water level in the tank (pool). (3) If the fish is upside down or floating with its abdomen facing the sky, you can use a plexiglass buckle, depending on the size of the goldfish.
