Tools/raw materials: lotus root, clear water, container, plastic wrap, salt.
Method:
1. If the lotus root has fresh soil and is not broken, it can be directly placed in a cool and humid place and can be preserved for 4-5 days.
2. Soak the washed lotus root in a container filled with clear water for about 7- 10 days, but pay attention to changing the water regularly, otherwise it may lead to lotus root rot.
3. The lotus root can be preserved for about one month by burying it in the soil or sand. However, it should be noted that this method is limited to spring and autumn, and lotus roots are very easy to freeze if they are preserved in winter.
4. The sliced lotus root can be stored in the refrigerator, and scalding the lotus root with boiling water can prevent the lotus root from being oxidized and blackened during placing.
5. Wipe the lotus root with salt water, then seal it with plastic wrap and store it in the refrigerator. The best temperature is around 4-5 degrees, which will last for a long time.
