White Orchid Melon, also known as Lanzhou honeydew melon, formerly known as Wallace, is native to the United States. The general weight of the white orchid melon is 1.5-2 kilograms, thick skin melon sweet, juicy meat tender. In China, white orchid melon was introduced from the United States to this cultivar, which has become a specialty of Lanzhou. It is most famous in Qingbaishi Township, Chengguan District, Lanzhou City. It is a kind of thick-skinned melon, which is in the shape of a round ball, weighing about 1.5 to 2.5 kilograms each. Skin white and hard, yellowish halo on the sunny side of the flesh is green, the inner cavity is small, sugar content of up to 13-16%, and rich in calcium, phosphorus, iron and a variety of vitamins, resistant to storage, suitable for storage and transportation. Melon flesh green, capsule thick juice, crisp and tender, sugar content of up to 15% or so, enjoy the "fragrant as osmanthus, sweet as honey" reputation.
