Source: Asteraceae Huangquail plant Youngia japonica (L.) DC. [Crepis japonica (L.) Benth.], the whole plant or roots are used as medicine. It can be harvested in four seasons, washed, used fresh or dried.
Its nature and flavor are sweet, slightly bitter, and cool.
Indications: Clearing away heat and detoxifying, diuretic, reducing swelling, and relieving pain. Used for pharyngitis, mastitis, toothache, dysuria, cirrhosis and ascites; external use to treat sores, boils and swelling.
Usage: 0.5 to 1 tael; appropriate amount for external use, mash the fresh product and apply to the affected area.
