Jiujiuge is a folk proverb of the Han nationality. In the traditional culture of the Han nationality, nine is the extreme number, which is the largest, largest and longest concept. Nine nines is eighty-one, which is the "maximum" number. The ancient Han people thought that spring must have arrived after the winter solstice on September 81.

As far back as the Spring and Autumn Period and the Warring States Period BC, Jiujiu songs have been widely used by people. In many works at that time, there were records about Jiujiu songs. The original 99 songs were from "99.81" to "22.24", with 36 sentences. Because it started from "9981", it was named 99song. It was between the 5th and 10th centuries that the Jiujiu Song was expanded to "One as One". It was in the 13th and 14th centuries that the order of Jiujiu songs became the same as it is now, from "one as one" to "9981". Jiujiuge is the multiplication formula we use now. There are two kinds of multiplication formulas used in China. One is 45 sentences, which is usually called "Xiao Jiujiu". There is also a sentence of 8 1, which is usually called "Dajiujiu".

Dogs froze to death in March 949, but in Jiangsu, it was "the old man who picked up dung in March 949 traveled all over the street", which shows that the temperature is very different.

Jiujiuge in southern areas such as Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Shanghai.

The first nine is warm, the second nine is cold, and the third nine is cold, and the birds are confused. The fourth nine is wax center, and the wax insect essence is frozen to death. Five nine four five, don't bury the knife, six nine four, and then it's cold and boring. Seven nine six three, clothes and hats are ambiguous, eight nine seven two, cats and dogs look for the shade, nine nine nine eight one, and a hundred herbs report to the green leaves.

Shaanxi's Jiujiu songs are slightly different from other areas. The third sentence is: Wujiu and Liujiu, watching willows by the river. The rest are the same.

Jiangsu Changwu's "99 Songs"

6954 Mosquitoes and flies squeak,

Seven, nine, six, thirteen, pedestrian clothing list,

Eight, nine, seventy-two, barefoot in mud,
