1, the Goddess Chang'e flying to the moon
China's ancient myths and legends tell the story that Chang 'e was forced by Feng Meng, but in desperation, she ate an immortal medicine given to her husband Hou Yi by the Queen Mother of the West and flew to the Moon Palace. The myth of "the Goddess Chang'e flying to the moon" originated from the ancient people's worship of the stars. According to the existing written records, it first appeared in ancient books such as Huainanzi.
2. WU GANG wins laurels.
Wu Gang's felling of Guangxi is one of the myths and legends in ancient China. According to legend, WU GANG was punished by the Emperor of Heaven and went to the Moon Palace to cut down osmanthus trees, but the osmanthus trees were cut and combined. The Emperor of Heaven took this endless labor as a punishment for WU GANG.
It is said that WU GANG in the worse heaven is very close to Chang 'e in the moon, but he often hangs to meet Chang 'e and neglects his duties. When the Jade Emperor knew about it, he was so angry that he sent WU GANG to the moon to cut down a big tree called laurel. If WU GANG didn't cut down the laurel tree, he wouldn't be able to return to the worse place or meet Chang 'e.
In this way, year after year, WU GANG always cuts down more than this laurel tree. Only on August 16th every year does a leaf fall from the moon to the ground. Jin Yezi will float to whoever is the most industrious, and that family will have endless wealth.
3. Jade rabbit pounded medicine
Jade rabbit tinkering with medicine is one of the myths and legends in China. See Dong Escape in Han Yuefu. Legend has it that there is a rabbit in the moon, which is as white as jade, so it is called "Jade Rabbit".
This kind of white rabbit holds a jade pestle, kneels down and smashes medicine into toad pills. Taking these pills can lead to immortality. Over time, Jade Rabbit became synonymous with the moon. In ancient times, when literati wrote poems and lyrics, they often used the jade rabbit as a symbol of the moon. For example, Xin Qiji's "Man Jiang Hong Mid-Autumn Festival" represented the moon with the jade rabbit.
4. Yue Bai, The Story Of Diu Sim
According to legend, The Story Of Diu Sim in the Three Kingdoms period was very beautiful and had the appearance of being truly beautiful. Legend has it that after The Story Of Diu Sim was born, the local peach blossoms and apricot blossoms were all blooming and thanking within three years; When The Story Of Diu Sim worships the moon at night, even Chang 'e feels ashamed and disappears in a hurry, which is also the origin of the idiom "Close the moon and feel ashamed of flowers". It is precisely because of The Story Of Diu Sim's beauty that Lu Bu, who was foolhardy, was puzzled and Wang Yun's serial stratagem was successful.
5. Xuanzong traveled to the moon
According to legend, Emperor Xuanzong of Tang Dynasty, Shen Tianshi and Taoist Hongdu all looked at the moon in the Mid-Autumn Festival. Suddenly, Emperor Xuanzong raised the idea of visiting the moon palace, so Tianshi did it, and the three of them started to go to Qingyun and roam the moon palace. However, the palace is heavily guarded, so it is impossible to enter, and you can only overlook the imperial city of Chang 'an.
On this occasion, I suddenly heard the sound of fairy tales, beautiful and wonderful, and moving! Emperor Xuanzong of the Tang Dynasty was always familiar with melody, so he memorized it in his heart. This is precisely "this song should only be in the sky, and how many times can the world hear it!" In the future, Xuanzong recalled the music and singing of Xiane in the Moon Palace, and composed music and choreographed it himself. This is the famous "colorful plumage" in history.
