function
Anti-inflammatory effect: the polyacetylene compounds in Bidens bipinnata can obviously inhibit the swelling of mouse auricle and egg white foot caused by croton oil, reduce the weight of cotton granuloma in rats, and also obviously inhibit the capillary permeability in mice with inflammation caused by acetic acid and the migration of white blood cells in rats. Flavone crystals in Bidens bipinnata also have a good anti-inflammatory effect.
Sedation and analgesia: Bidens bipinnata injection can significantly prolong the sleep time of pentobarbital sodium in mice and significantly reduce the number of spontaneous activities, which has synergistic effect with chlorpromazine and antagonistic effect with amphetamine. Torsion test and hot plate test show that it has certain analgesic effect.
Digestive system: subcutaneous injection of Bidens bipinnata can obviously reduce the secretion of gastric juice in rats, reduce the pH value and free acid concentration of gastric juice, inhibit the intestinal propulsion of charcoal powder in mice, protect experimental gastric ulcer in rats and reduce the incidence of stress ulcer in mice.
Anticancer effect: Various extracts of Bidens bipinnata L. have different degrees of inhibitory effects on HL60 and V937 leukemia cells cultured in vitro, among which polyacetylene compounds have the best effect.
Hypolipidemic and antithrombotic effects: the mixed water extract of Bidens bipinnata and Bidens parviflora can obviously reduce Ch and β lipoprotein in male rats by intragastric administration, and intravenous administration can obviously inhibit experimental arterial thrombosis in rats. [4]
