The name "Grey Jujube" comes from the fact that Xinzheng Jujube turns grey before it matures and turns red, as if covered with a layer of frost, hence the name "Grey Jujube".

Hetian jade jujube, as its name implies, is produced in Hetian jujube in Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region. Because Hotan is famous for its Hetian jade, it is named Hetian Yuzao, also known as Junzao.

2. Different sizes

Hetian Yuzao is a kind of Xinjiang Junzao, which is very big, with an average of more than 20 grams per jujube and more than 30 grams of super jujube. A Hetian jade jujube is as big as 3 or 4 grey jujubes, with thin skin and good color.

3. Different tastes

The flesh of jujube is compact and small, but very sweet. Compared with Hetian jujube, jujube pulp contains more water. Hotan jujube is a dried jujube on the tree. Although its moisture content is not as good as that of Huizao, because of its high sugar content, its skin is not wrinkled like other jujubes, and its taste is mellow and sweet, with a slightly sour aftertaste.
