Stamens are numerous, forming tubes, arranged in 3 rounds, and the outermost round is clustered into 5 bundles; The capsule is very big, woody, oblong, up to 15cm. When it matures, it will automatically crack, and it is filled with cotton wool, which can be used as a filling material for pillows, quilts and so on. Seeds are numerous, obovate, black and smooth, hidden in white hairs.

The appearance of kapok is changeable: in spring, a tree is orange-red; In summer, green leaves are shaded; Autumn leaves are bleak; In winter, bare branches and cold trees show different customs in four seasons. The flowers are orange-red. Every year from February to March, the leaves fall out and enter the flowering period, and then the leaves grow, and the tree shape has masculine beauty.
