The exact origin of its production method is unknown now, but there are two kinds of folklore for reference.
first, during the southern song dynasty, the Lin' an imperial garden, where the singing and dancing of the west lake stopped, created a kind of food called "yuwan". There is also a legend behind this: the emperor likes fish very much, which is essential for almost every meal, and once the fish bones are caught in his throat, he will behead the chef. For this reason, the royal chefs are on tenterhooks. One day, an old cook thought that the companion was like a tiger, and the emperor was so difficult to serve. He suddenly became angry with several fish. He picked up a knife and chopped the fish with the back of his knife. Suddenly, he saw that the fish was separated from the fish bones. He had a brainwave: "Yes", so he scraped the fish out with a knife and slammed it on an anvil to form a paste, mixed with egg white and seasoning, and kneaded it. When the emperor tasted it, it was delicious and without bone spurs, and he was full of praise. He rewarded the chef and ordered him to serve this dish every day. The way and form of making "Fish" are very similar to today's "Dahao Fish Pill", which was created in Dahao, which is rich in marine fish, by Lin 'an Imperial Chef in order to avoid the war and move south.
Another way of saying it is that Qiu Hui, a native of Majiao in Dahao, rebelled against the Qing government's policy of "rejecting the land", rallied people to attack the city and terrorized the southeast coast. Later, he joined the national hero Zheng Chenggong, and became an important ministry of Zheng, guarding Dahao for 1 years. Qiu Hui is very filial to his mother. Because her mother is blind, eating is inconvenient, and she likes eating fish very much, Qiu Hui ordered the cook to scrape fresh horse glue fish, beat it into a sticky paste, make it into fish balls, and cook it for her mother to eat. Because the fish balls made are delicious and extremely refreshing, Qiu Hui is often used to entertain guests. After visiting Dahao to taste fish balls, Zheng Jing was greatly admired and praised as a "treasure of the South". Later, Qiu Hui's department was defeated in Taiwan Province, and its production method was also brought to Baodao. Today's "Taiwanese Fish Pill" is its biography. This is the cultural and historical background of the birth of "Dahao Fish Pill".
