First, material selection
1, you can choose iron wire, plastic small tube (drinking straw) or bamboo strips, colored paper or rice paper.
2. Cutting
According to the size of the lantern, cut the straw or bamboo into the required length. If you use iron wire, you can directly fold it into your favorite shape.
B. Tie the skeleton
Tie the intercepted materials to the skeleton of the lantern with single-sided adhesive tape.
C, manufacturing a lamp body
Cut colored paper and rice paper or golden rice paper into the length and width of the lantern skeleton, and you can design your own patterns. Calligraphy, painting and paper-cutting are all acceptable. After pasting, you can also use narrow silk-like paper to wrap the edges up and down, which looks more elegant, much like ancient palace lanterns.
D. If you are not good at painting and calligraphy, you can find some paper-cut patterns you like, draw them on the copybook with a piece of thin paper, carve them with scissors or a knife, use white rice paper as the lamp body, and then paste the paper-cut patterns, so that candlelight or light will be mapped out from the hollowed-out places, and the effect is quite beautiful.
Second, the method of making lanterns with cardboard
First, material selection
Choose colored cardboard, usually red and yellow, and cut out pieces of paper of appropriate size.
B, carving
Carve your favorite flower pattern on the cardboard.
C, modeling
Fold the carved cardboard into squares, hexagons and other shapes as needed.
D, lamps and lanterns installation
Find a small light bulb (or LED light) to connect the battery with the switch, and you're done.
