After soaking the hawthorns until the end, remove the hawthorns and filter the remaining wine with gauze.
Home-brewed hawthorn wine with sugar
Add 2 pounds of sugar to water, put on the fire and stir continuously until the pot boils, it turns slightly yellow and remove from the fire, slowly add the sugar and water after it cools
Things to note when brewing home-made hawthorn wine:
1. In autumn, hawthorns are full of juice and suitable for wine making.
2. The hawthorns in early spring have become sandy, and the wine yield is low. 3 pounds of hawthorn produce 1 pound of liquor. Moreover, the temperature in early spring is low and the fermentation speed is slow.
3. You don’t need to add high-quality white wine. Adding white wine will help fermentation.
4. After filtration, the wine will become clearer as time goes by.
