There are two main cultivation seasons of Artemisia annua: winter and spring Artemisia annua and autumn Artemisia annua.
Winter and spring Artemisia annua is on the market from late November to late April of the following year. It germinates through underground rhizomes, and the sprouted young stems are picked and put on the market. For the stubble of Fuqiu Artemisia, which is on the market from early August to mid-October, through appropriate dense planting, shading and cooling, and high-fertilizer hydroculture management, the above-ground leaf axils are promoted to sprout side branches, and the tender heads of the side branches are harvested and put on the market.
There are two main ways of cultivating Artemisia annua in winter and spring: open field cultivation and film-covered cultivation in large and medium-sized greenhouses. Among them, covered cultivation in large and medium-sized greenhouses is the main one. In autumn and winter, artemisia is mainly cultivated with sunshade net covering. For open field cultivation, it is planted between April and June and harvested from March to May of the following spring.
