1February 25th Japan is the birthday of Mithra, the Persian sun god (that is, god of light), and it is a pagan festival. At the same time, the sun god is also one of the gods of Roman Catholicism. This day is also the winter solstice festival of the Roman calendar. The pagans who worship the sun god regard this day as the hope of spring and the beginning of the recovery of everything. For this reason, the Roman church chose this day as Christmas.

As we all know, Christmas was set up to celebrate the birth of Jesus, but the Bible never mentioned that Jesus was born on this day, and even many historians think that Jesus was born in spring. It was not until the 3rd century that1February 25th was officially designated as Christmas. Nevertheless, some Orthodox Christians have designated 1 6th and 7th of the month as Christmas.

After the reform and opening up, Christmas spread especially in China. By the beginning of the 21st century, Christmas organically combined with the local customs in China, and its development became more and more mature. Eating apples, wearing Christmas hats, sending Christmas cards, attending Christmas parties and Christmas shopping have become a part of China people's life.
