My hometown is a small county located in the east of Sichuan Province. It not only has a long history and outstanding people, but also has beautiful scenery and rich products.

Among them, my favorite is peach blossom rice, also known as "fragrant rice". "Gongmi" is produced in Xuanhan Peach Blossom Township. This rice is a hard, bright rice with large and well-proportioned grains, white and green in color. When cooked, the rice has a waist-like appearance and is oil-soaked. It is rich in glutinousness and aromatic, and is of excellent quality.

Peach blossom rice has a long history. It is said that since Empress Wu Zetian in the Tang Dynasty, local officials in Sichuan would donate the best peach blossom rice to the emperor every year, so it is called "tribute rice". In 1963, it participated in the National Agricultural Exposition and was rated as "China's Precious Rice" and included in the "National Crop Varieties Catalog".

In 1977, Peach Blossom Rice participated in the Canton Fair and was favored by Chinese and foreign customers. It is now one of the high-quality Sichuan rice with local characteristics and is listed as a key development project of high-quality agricultural products in the province.
