1. Flower pot selection. Before planting dragon fruit, you need to choose a suitable flower pot. The choice of flower pot cannot limit the growth of dragon fruit. When we choose a flowerpot, we must pay attention to the need for multiple ventilation holes under the flowerpot instead of a single ventilation hole, so that excess water in the pot can be eliminated in time. The diameter of the flowerpot should be 30 to 45 centimeters.

2. Soil selection. The soil is also very important for potted dragon fruit. When planting dragon fruit, do not choose one that is too alkaline. When planting, you can go to the flower shop to buy some nutrient soil, and then buy some organic fertilizer to increase the organic matter content in the soil. If the situation allows, it is best to add some perlite and sand with a bipartite fungus stick. Such soil has better air permeability, looseness and drainage.

3. Planting method. For potted dragon fruit, you can choose branch cuttings instead of sowing seeds. When planting seedlings, it is appropriate to insert 3 cm into the soil. Dragon fruit is not easy to penetrate too deep into the soil. After planting, you need to use a frame to fix it, so that the early stage of slowing down the seedlings can be guaranteed. After planting, water it thoroughly at once and place it in a place with sufficient sunlight and good ventilation.

4. Daily management. The growth temperature of dragon fruit cannot be lower than 5℃, so special attention should be paid to it in winter. If it is lower than 5℃, it must be placed indoors to prevent freezing damage. . All fruit trees need to be pruned, and dragon fruit is no exception. When a single plant is in a single pot at home, it is enough to leave at most 4 branches on one plant, and all other weak and diseased branches should be removed. Finally, dragon fruit needs to be watered all at once during daily watering. Do not water frequently to prevent root rot. You can control it by inserting a chopstick in the basin to see if there is a lack of water.

5. Notes: (1) Dragon fruit likes light and tolerates shade. Sufficient light can promote the photosynthesis of dragon fruit, accelerate its growth rate, and increase the sugar content of the pulp. Appropriate shade should be provided at noon in summer to avoid direct sunlight, otherwise the plant water will evaporate too quickly. (2) When the newly planted potted dragon fruit sprouts, pay attention to keeping them warm. If the temperature is too low, you can cover the new potted plants with plastic film to keep them warm.
