There are many names about the Great Wall of the Qing Dynasty, but Wang Anding, a man of the A Qing Dynasty, explicitly called it the Great Wall in his book Xiang Jun Ji 16 Ping Nian Jun Pian. He said: "The construction of the Great Wall of the Qing Dynasty covers Sanjin, Yan, Qi and even Qin, which limits the extension of Hu Qi's strategy of defending the enemy." Although there was a famous order issued by Kangxi in the Qing Dynasty that "the side wall should not be repaired", in fact, the scale of the Great Wall in the Qing Dynasty was quite large and its geographical span was unprecedented. Its construction scope basically includes all provinces north of Huaihe River, especially north of Yellow River.

Difference: Compared with previous dynasties, the Great Wall construction in Qing Dynasty is very different. China built the Great Wall for a long time, but from the Qin Dynasty to the Ming Dynasty, it was only to limit the advantages of nomadic cavalry and reduce the degree of harassment in border areas, so as to achieve the purpose of defending the enemy rather than self-defense. Due to the restriction of the Great Wall, nomads cannot easily harass the border. Even if they stole the Great Wall, they had to adopt the strategy of quick victory, because they were worried that the Central Plains Dynasty would mobilize troops to rely on the Great Wall to cut off their rear roads, thus reducing the harm.

Difference: 1 The Great Wall in Qing Dynasty is different from the Great Wall in Ming Dynasty and the Great Wall in previous dynasties. Internally, it is a tool to suppress peasant uprisings and national uprisings, but not externally.

The Great Wall of Qing Dynasty is a plan of the rights and interests of the Manchu government, which is rough, poorly preserved and single in function. It is rarely mentioned, let alone compared with the Great Wall of Ming Dynasty.

Most of the Great Wall in the Qing Dynasty was built by the Qing government in the late period, and it was disdainful to repair it in the early period, but only for rights and interests in the later period. Nowadays, people often attach too much importance to Kangxi's "heroic" word, thinking that there was no Great Wall in the Qing Dynasty, but it was actually poor!

"The discovery of the Great Wall in Qing Dynasty is of great value in the study history of the Great Wall." (Jian Yao 1984) not only pushed back the lower limit of the Great Wall previously thought by academic circles, but also counted a dynasty as 260 from the last year of Ming Dynasty (about 16 14) to the twelfth year of Tongzhi in Qing Dynasty (about 1873).
