The beautiful scenery of Alishan

The distance between Alishan and Alishan is only fifteen kilometers, but the railway that winds from the bottom of the mountain to the top of the mountain is actually 72 kilometers long. The total length of branch lines connecting various forest areas is more than 1,000 kilometers. There are 82 tunnels along the way, the longest one is 1,300 meters long. The train passes through four different forest areas: hot, subthermal, warm and cold.

The forest, sea of ??clouds and sunrise in Alishan are known as the three wonders. What is produced here is the rare high-grade construction timber in the world, such as Taiwanese fir, hemlock, red painted wood, hinoki cypress and Xiaoji pine, which are called the Alishan specialty "five woods". In March of spring, Alishan becomes a brilliant cherry blossom forest. The cherry blossoms here are famous both at home and abroad. There is an Alpine Museum on the mountain, which displays various exotic trees. The Alpine Botanical Garden has hundreds of tropical, temperate and cold zone plants. Visitors can not only enjoy the scenic view of the forest sea rippling in the breeze, but also gain more knowledge.

At dawn on a clear day, it is a pleasure to climb Mount Tashan in Alishan to watch the sea of ??clouds. Visitors can only see the vast sea of ??clouds, which changes rapidly, sometimes like rolling ice peaks emerging from the valley, sometimes like a rough sea, rolling in from the sky. No wonder the sea of ??clouds in Alishan is one of the eight scenic spots in Taiwan. The best place to watch the sunrise is Zhushan. Zhushan's altitude is second only to Tashan, with an altitude of 2,480 meters. The night receded, and the sky turned fish-belly white. A trace of red cloud appeared behind Zhushan Mountain, and slowly turned into an arc, a semicircle, and a large semicircle, getting redder and brighter. A red sun first rises from the edge of the sea of ??clouds, and then emerges from the top of the mountain, shining brightly, which is quite a scene.

Alishan is listed as one of the scenic spots in Taiwan, and its beautiful scenery has long been praised by people. Therefore, there is a saying that "if you have not been to Alishan, you don't know the beauty of Alishan, you don't know the wealth of Alishan, let alone the greatness of Alishan." ” statement. Due to the mild climate in the mountainous areas, it is still refreshing and pleasant in midsummer, and the lush forests make it the most ideal summer resort in Taiwan.
