Methods 1: drying method

Soak fresh osmanthus in a big box with mineral water (half a catty of fresh osmanthus). Take out osmanthus fragrans and wash it with mineral water several times, control the water, and manually arrange dead flowers and pedicels. Put it in the oven to dry and take it out to cool.

Method 2: quicklime drying method

Remove impurities from fresh osmanthus, but never wash it with water. If you have to clean it, you can rinse the fresh osmanthus with flowers, control the clean water and then dry it with a hair dryer. Never put it in the sun to dry.

Put enough quicklime blocks at the bottom of the container, spread a layer of plastic paper on it, and then put a large piece of paper in the container. The paper should completely cover the bottom and periphery of the container to avoid direct contact between osmanthus and quicklime. The amount of quicklime blocks is about twice the weight of fresh osmanthus, and the more the better.

After finishing, sprinkle fresh osmanthus into the container, and then tightly seal the container cover 1 ~ 2 days. Now open it and have a look. Fresh osmanthus becomes very dry and brittle, and will not lose its fragrance or change its color.
