Siraitia grosvenorii is a perennial vine of Cucurbitaceae. Its leaves are heart-shaped, dioecious, flowering in summer and bearing fruit in autumn. Traditional Chinese medicine is used as medicine with its fruit, which contains mogroside, various amino acids and vitamins. It is mainly used to treat cough due to lung heat, phlegm and fire, pharyngitis, tonsillitis, acute gastritis and constipation.

Siraitia grosvenorii is distributed in Guangxi, Guangdong, Hunan and other provinces in southern China. It is distributed in subtropical hillside forests, wet areas along rivers or shrubs at an altitude of 300 ~ 1400 meters. In the long-term individual development, there are certain requirements for environmental conditions. It is planted all over Hainan province.
