A new generation of epoxy resin system produced by cashew nutshell oil has been applied as heavy duty anticorrosive for nearly 20 years, and this system has become the standard for low surface treatment, fast recoating, high performance, low cost and low toxicity. Countries all over the world, especially in marine coatings, are adopting this system in large quantities in order to achieve high efficiency heavy duty anticorrosive coating technology with small investment and large output. Cashew nut paint is cashew nut shell oil plus solvents and other chemical materials, heated by the reactor synthesis, that is, synthetic cashew nut paint. Add different paint pigments, that is, into different colors of cashew paint. Cashew nut shell oil resin is an important raw material for the production of high-performance abrasion resistance material products. Friction powders based on cashew nut shells are used in disc brake pads and wheel linings. Friction powders (sometimes called friction clays) are used as stabilizers of the coefficient of friction in brake products. These particles have resilient properties and therefore cushion the pressure exerted on the sandwich or lining. At the same time they break down on the surface of the interlayer at elevated temperatures, controlling wear and providing protection against further temperature increases. Cashew nutshell liquid-modified phenolic resin friction material has the advantages of high impact strength, stable friction coefficient, good recovery and low cost. The main raw materials of this product are phenolic resin and cashew nutshell oil.
