She found that Berry loved pastries, worked hard, and didn't run away just because the strict Kennel had said something too much. So, he shows up and instructs Berry on how to make pastries, and Berry realizes that making pastries should be like lasagna, slowly folding them layer by layer, because her dream has just begun. Vanilla then becomes Berry's pastry genie. Her relationship with Berry grew deeper in later episodes, and she worked with Berry towards her goal of becoming a pastry chef.

First introduced in the fifth episode (Angel? Demon? Elf?)　 When Mano and Hanabusa were first introduced to each other, they argued over their different tastes and made a mess in the pastry room as the pastry chefs fought over each other's props. As a result, the pastry prince is punished by his teacher by being banned from using the pastry room for three days. Kenno, who wants to become a pastry chef, insists on practicing against his teacher's ban and emphasizes that he came to St. Mary's Academy because he wants to become a first-class pastry chef as soon as possible. Chocolate, who is hovering outside the window, notices this scene and likes Kenno's determination so much that Chocolate tries to team up with Kenno, but is shocked when Kenno, who wants to realize his dream on his own, dismisses him. Although she is timid, she insists on following Kenno when he goes to the forest to look for Yasudo and Milk Duds, because in Chocolate's mind, "a partner should always be together". Kenno is touched by the chocolate and decides to accept it and work hard with it towards his dream. He specializes in making chocolate desserts.
