Severe fever and diarrhea, pus and blood hurting people, and unbearable abdominal pain. Heat accumulated due to deficiency of summer-heat and dampness, toxic heat, wine and heat hurting the liver, causing upset hemorrhoids and leakage. Dry mouth and thirst.

Indications are heat dysentery and hemorrhoids.

Huanglian Ejiao Decoction:

Efficacy of nourishing yin to reduce fire, calming the heart and calming the nerves: used for patients with deficiency of both heart and kidney, excessive fire due to yin deficiency, insomnia, red tongue with dry fur and rapid pulse.
