Silver arowana cannot be kept with other fishes because it is very aggressive. The feeding technique is to control the water temperature at around 25 degrees. Young fish should eat smaller meals more often, three or four times a day. When they grow up, they can reduce the number of feedings. Usually, small fish, shrimps, mealworms, and artificial feeds are all good feeds. The water quality should be controlled, preferably weakly acidic water, with a pH value between 6.5-7.5 and a chlorine content of 0.
Precautions for raising silver arowana;
1. It is best to keep the water temperature between 25 degrees Celsius and 28 degrees Celsius. Because silver arowana is relatively sensitive, the water temperature and water quality should not suddenly increase or decrease significantly, otherwise the arowana will be frightened or sick. In order to ensure the stability of the water temperature, there should be no sudden and drastic changes. This is also a very important point, when the seasons change, especially the temperature of the fish tank will rise or fall over time, but remember to allow the temperature to rise or fall slowly.
2. It is best to use natural light for silver arowana, but remember not to place the fish tank under direct sunlight to avoid sunlight and cause algae to burst. In addition, the fish also has a rest time. It will fully enjoy the sun during the day and have a good rest at night. Silver Arowana must maintain 8 to 10 hours of light every day. The lighting time should not be too long or too intense, and the light should avoid irritating the eyes of the arowana.
