Bengbu is located on the line of Qinling-Huai River, the geographic demarcation line between north and south of China, the middle reaches of Huai River, the intersection of Beijing-Shanghai Railway and Huainan Railway, and the intersection of Beijing-Shanghai and Beijing-Fuzhou high-speed railways at the same time.
It is a national civilized city, a national comprehensive transportation hub city, the center city of Huaihe River basin, the center city of northern Anhui, and the center city of tourism in Anhui Province. It is known as the land of the lords of Yuhui and the Pearl City on the Huai. in November 2018, it was selected as one of the top 100 Chinese cities in the Comprehensive Well-being Index.
Expanded InformationBengbu City is located in the northern part of Anhui Province, from 32°43′ to 33°30′ north latitude and 116°45′ to 118°04′ east longitude, bordering with Yongqiao District of Suzhou City, Suixi County, Lingbi County, and Siachen County in the north, Huainan City and Fengyang County in the south, Mingguang City and Sihong County of Jiangsu Province in the east, and Mongcheng County and Fenghtai County in the west.
The city is portable with Huainan City in the southwest and borders with Suixi County and Mengcheng County in the northwest. The longest distance between east and west of the city is 32.3 kilometers, and the largest span between north and south is 23.5 kilometers. The Jinpu Railway runs north-south from the center of the territory, and the Huaihe River flows across the south from west to east, with most of the jurisdiction at the southern end of the Huaibei Plain.

The territory is dominated by plains, with scattered hills in the south; the ground tends to the southeast in the northwest, and the natural slope drop is about one in ten thousand.
