Extended data
Cangshan and Erhai are located on the eastern edge of the most powerful radial structural belt in China, that is, the Kangzang zigzag structural fold belt, which is a huge deep fault with the crust rising in the west and falling in the east. Erhai fault is the boundary between the central Yunnan Plateau and the Hengduan Mountain area in this area, and the strata are staggered and collapsed in the process of strong uplift, and the uplift blocks form Cangshan block mountain.
The subsidence block becomes a fault basin and the accumulated water becomes Erhai Lake, which is a typical inland fault basin. Its main structural line is NNW, long from north to south and narrow from east to west. The south, west and north sides of Erhai Lake are alluvial by rivers to form a flood plain, and eighteen streams and streams are connected horizontally to form a flood skirt.
