Translation:

The first time: the source of spiritual root pregnancy comes from the cultivation of the mind.

In the country of Aolai, Dongsheng Shenzhou, there is a flower and fruit mountain. There is a fairy stone on the mountain. One day, the fairy stone cracked and an egg rolled out of the stone. When the egg saw the wind, it turned into a stone monkey. The monkey's eyes shot golden lights and worshipped in all directions. The monkey can walk and run. When he is thirsty, he drinks some spring water in the mountain stream, and when he is hungry, he eats some fruit from the mountain.

I had a good time playing with the animals in the mountains all day. One day, it was very hot, and the monkeys ran to the mountain stream to take a bath to avoid the hot weather. When they saw the spring rushing, they walked along the stream to find its source. The monkeys climbed and climbed until they reached the end, but they saw a waterfall, which seemed to fall from the sky.

The monkeys were surprised and said, "Whoever dares to get into the waterfall and find out the source of the spring water without hurting his health will worship him as king." After shouting for three times, the stone monkey jumped out and shouted, "I'll go in, I'll go in!" "

The stone monkey closed his eyes and jumped into the waterfall. He didn't feel like he was in the water. Then he opened his eyes and looked around. He found himself standing on an iron bridge. The water under the bridge rushed between the stone openings and flowed out upside down, covering the bridge door so that people outside could not see it. The stone monkey crossed the bridge and found that it was really a good place, with stone chairs, beds, basins and bowls.

Creative background:

In the first year of Zhenguan of Emperor Taizong (627), Xuanzang Tianzhu (India), a 25-year-old monk, traveled on foot.

After he set out from Chang 'an, he passed through Central Asia, Afghanistan and Pakistan, and finally arrived in India. He studied there for more than two years, and gave a lecture at a large-scale debate on Buddhist classics, which was praised.

In the 19th year of Zhenguan (645), Xuanzang returned to Chang 'an and brought back 657 Buddhist scriptures, which was a sensation. Later, Xuanzang dictated his travels to the west, which was compiled into 12 volumes of "Records of the Western Regions of Datang" by his disciples. But this book mainly tells the history, geography and transportation of countries seen on the road, and there is no story.

As for "Datang The biography of Master Sanzang" written by his disciples Hui Li and Yan Cong, it added a lot of myths to Xuanzang's experience. Since then, the story of Tang Priest's Buddhist scriptures has been widely circulated among the people in China.

In the Southern Song Dynasty, there were Poems on the Three Monks in the Tang Dynasty, Tang Sanzang and Pan Taohui in the Jin Dynasty, Tang Sanzang's Buddhist Scriptures in the Western Heaven by Wu Changling, and the Great Sage by Wu Ming-shi, all of which laid the foundation for The Journey to the West's creation. It is on the basis of China folklore, scripts and operas that Wu Cheng'en completed this great literary masterpiece through hard re-creation.

The Journey to the West's author, Wu Cheng'en (controversial), lived in the middle and late Ming Dynasty and went through five periods: Hongzhi in Xiaozong, Jiajing in Sejong in Wuzong, Qin Long in Mu Zong and Wanli in Shenzong.

The social situation in the middle and late Ming Dynasty was very different from that at the beginning of the founding of the People's Republic of China. Political class contradictions, ethnic contradictions and contradictions within the ruling class were constantly intensifying and becoming increasingly acute. The ideological and cultural enlightenment rose, the ideological trend of human liberation rose, civic literature flourished day by day, novel and drama creation entered a period of all-round prosperity, and capitalism sprouted economically.
