2. Formula interpretation
Ginseng: It can replenish qi and pulse, invigorate spleen and lung, promote fluid production to quench thirst, soothe the nerves and improve intelligence.
Atractylodes macrocephala: invigorating spleen and qi, eliminating dampness and promoting diuresis, stopping sweating and preventing miscarriage. For spleen deficiency, anorexia, abdominal distension and diarrhea, excessive phlegm, dizziness and edema, spontaneous sweating and fetal movement.
Poria cocos: diuretic, dampness-eliminating, spleen-invigorating, phlegm-resolving, mind-calming, detoxification and anticancer. The medicine is mild in nature, and diuresis does not harm healthy qi.
Roasted licorice: benefiting qi and nourishing yin, activating yang and restoring pulse.
Chenpi: regulating qi and strengthening spleen, eliminating dampness and resolving phlegm. Used for fullness in chest and hypochondrium, anorexia, vomiting and diarrhea, and cough with excessive phlegm.
Pinellia ternata: eliminating dampness and resolving phlegm, reducing adverse reactions, stopping vomiting, reducing swelling and resolving stagnation.
3. The efficacy and function of Liujunzi decoction
Yiqi Jianpi, Qushi Huatan. Indications: Deficiency and cold of spleen and stomach combined with damp resistance, such as anorexia, weakness of limbs, fullness in chest and abdomen, thin stool, cough with excessive phlegm, or vomiting due to warming qi.
