What if the child is not focused?
Children's inattention can easily affect their academic performance. It happened that I attended the parent-teacher conference last night, and the school leaders also mentioned this issue. Below, I will share some methods with you according to what I learned at the parent-teacher conference and my own understanding ~ ~

So as parents, how can we cultivate children's concentration? I think there are four ways.

Method 1: Let the children complete the agreed amount of learning tasks within the agreed time.

If children can complete the agreed learning tasks within the agreed time, then as parents, we should give affirmation, encouragement and even reward.

For example, our children in grade 1-2 usually concentrate on about 20 minutes, so parents can set a learning task within 20 minutes and complete 2 pages of Chinese exercises or 3 pages of math exercises. If the child can finish, parents can allow him to watch TV 10 minutes or play with building blocks 10 minutes.

In fact, this is a child's time management problem. Through these one-off focused learning tasks, gradually cultivate children's attention, and slowly, children will find that they can concentrate on doing one thing well in a certain period of time.

Method 2: adopt the way of speaking "I will only say it once".

Many times, when our parents are more nervous than their children, they will talk a lot when they are in a hurry. You should remember to carry your schoolbag, eat at noon, listen to the teacher in class and so on. The real emperor is in no hurry.

In fact, learning is the main task of children, not parents. Our parents talk too much, and the children can't digest it in time. Therefore, our parents should tell their children clearly in an appropriate way. Xiao Ming, you should pay attention. I'm only gonna say this once. I have bought learning tools for tomorrow's school. You need to prepare yourself, including five pencils, a pencil box, an eraser and three exercise books. Prepare yourself. If you are not ready, you will be useless in class tomorrow. The teacher will criticize you and you will be unhappy.

Through this way of emphasizing "only once", it is obvious that the relationship is very strong and the child's attention is highly concentrated. Say it seriously, it is better to repeat it a hundred times.

Method 3: Read by "pointing".

In reading, especially when reading Chinese texts, children are prone to make mistakes, lose reading, stop reading and skip reading, which is easy to distract attention.

However, I found that if children are allowed to read words with their fingers, they don't need to be very loud or shout at the top of their voices. This way, children will not have the above problems. Because finger reading and sound reading can make the child's brain, eyes, fingers and mouth coordinate with each other and concentrate, there will be no mistakes. This situation is similar to that of an adult driving. Drivers are relatively sober than people who don't drive, because drivers also need the coordination of hands, feet and eyes.

So I think if you get into the habit of reading, you can also cultivate your child's concentration better ~

Method 4: adopt the method of parent-child game.

If the child has ADHD, it is difficult to concentrate. Therefore, children with ADHD can take interactive games to exercise their attention.

There are many specific items of this kind of game interaction, which I have seen when I brush the little red book or Tik Tok, such as digital fax: prepare a string of numbers, read them once, and write down the numbers I hear from memory after listening to them. There are also word listening training, word thinking, driving a train and so on. I won't introduce them one by one. If you are interested, you can search for it yourself, and the gameplay is also very good.

Children playing interactive games can cultivate observation and improve attention. It is also a good method.

Generally speaking, cultivating children's attention requires teaching students in accordance with their aptitude. Parents can observe which method is more suitable for children, and there is no universal formula. The above is shared by some individuals.
