Electronic Games (电子游戏), also known as videogames (电玩游戏), refers to all interactive games that run on electronic media platforms, and was introduced in 1952. It can be divided into console games, handheld games, computer games, arcade games, and mobile games according to the carrier of the game.

Video games were introduced in 1952 as tic-tac-toe games, played on vacuum tube computers at a time when modern computers had only been available for less than a decade. This was followed by Tennis For Two, a tennis game released in 1958, which, although it was a tennis game, actually had graphics more akin to a modern hoverboard.

1961-1962 saw the birth of Super Wars, the ancestor of all current vertical flying games, and in 1971 Nolan Bushnell improved on Super Wars with the first ever arcade game, which was not yet well received by the market. 1975 saw the launch of Atari's home console, which was popularized in the homes of the general public and led to the manufacture of more variations on the home console, and the market was flooded with variations on the home console. In 1975, Atari launched the home console, which became popular and led to more manufacturers investing in the production of home consoles.

In 1976, the Fairchild Channel F, the first home console to use cassette tapes as a medium for interchangeable games, was released. 1977, Atari launched the Atari 2600, a home console that led to a global video game boom, and in the same year, Nintendo's first home console, the Color TV Game 6, was released in Japan.
