Properties and Stability:
1 ...Stable at room temperature and pressure, avoid oxides Strong acid contact, thermal instability, solid at 58 ℃, aqueous solution at 70 ℃ will decompose.
Solubility in water is 14%(10℃), 17.4%(20℃), 21.3%(30℃). Its aqueous solution is alkaline, and the pH of 0.1mol-L-1 solution at 25℃ is 7.8.
Ammonium bicarbonate is chemically unstable, and decomposes easily by heat. When heated to about 60 ℃, it decomposes into white smoke composed of NH3 21.5%, CO2 55.7%, H2O 22.8%. Can be decomposed by hot water. In the presence of moisture at atmospheric pressure, above 36 ℃ will begin to slowly decompose, generating ammonia, carbon dioxide and water.
Easily soluble in water (0 ℃: 11.9g/100 ml; 30 ℃: 27g/100 ml), the aqueous solution is alkaline, 0.08% aqueous solution of pH 7.8. Soluble in glycerol, decomposed into carbon dioxide and ammonia at 350 ℃. It has hygroscopicity, releasing irritating ammonia odor after absorbing moisture and dampness, no ammonia odor in dry state. It is easy to weather in the air.
Storage method:
1. Keep the container sealed, stored in a cool, dry place, stored in a cool, dry, ventilated warehouse. Never put it together with NaOH or Ca(OH)2.
2. During storage and transportation, pay attention to moisture-proof, rain-proof and sun-proof. When handling, it should be carried gently and put down gently to prevent the package from being broken.
3. Strictly prohibit mixing and transporting with oxidizing agents, acids, edible chemicals and so on. During transportation, it should be protected from exposure to sunlight, rain and high temperature.
4. In case of fire, it can be put out by spraying water, misting or using dry powder, carbon dioxide or foam fire extinguishing agent.
