Macron
Macron was born in Amiens, a city in northern France, in 1977. He graduated from the Philosophy Department of the University of Paris 10 and later studied at Sciences Po in Paris and the French National School of Administration.
Macron served as Deputy Secretary-General of the Presidential Office in 2012, and in August 2014, he became France’s Minister of Economy, Industry and Digital Affairs. In 2016, Macron founded the political group "Forward" and participated in the presidential election as an independent candidate. On May 7, 2017, Macron was elected as the eighth and eleventh president of the Fifth French Republic and took office on May 14.
