Eating a steak is usually done with the knife in the right hand and the fork in the left.
When using a knife and fork to eat, take the knife and fork from the outside to the inside, and hold the knife in the right hand; cut something with the left hand holding the fork to press the food, the right hand knife will saw cut it into small pieces, and then use the fork to send into the mouth. Steak knife is used to cut the food, do not use the knife to pick up the food to the mouth.
Knives, forks and spoons have their own purposes in Western food, and should not be used in place of or in combination with one another. Do not bite the fork, and do not let the knife or fork rattle on the teeth or on the plate.
Eating steak etiquette
1, napkin
When using a napkin to wipe your mouth, don't wipe very hard, just gently dab. Don't shake the napkin or wave it in the air.
The napkin should be placed on your lap at normal times, and when you leave the table, place it on a chair and push the chair closer to the table. Be gentle in your movements. Do not fold the napkin at the end of the meal either; otherwise, some uninformed waiter will take it to the next customer.
2. Chewing
No talking while chewing; no matter what amazingly wonderful words you have, chew with your mouth closed, and as long as there is food in your mouth, you must not speak. You have to chew slowly.
