Ginger, an evergreen tree, is also known as Mao Dan Mother, Qingtoumu (Jianfengling, Guangdong), Qingtouoctagonal, octagonal belt (Diaoluoshan, Hainan) and fake lemon fruit, with a height of 20 meters and a DBH of 60 cm. Branchlets reddish brown, stout, with obvious ribs, glabrous. The terminal bud is ovoid, the apex is blunt, the scale is filiform pubescent outside, and the edge is glabrous.
