First, the biggest difference between domestic cherries and imported cherries is the price, which is also the main way to distinguish domestic cherries from imported cherries, because imported cherries are directly cultivated in China, so the cost will be lower. Imported cherries need to be transported for a long distance, and this fresh fruit needs to be transported in the whole cold chain, and the cost will be higher. Coupled with the cost of tariffs, the price of imported cherries will be much higher than that of domestic cherries.
Second: Different colors The colors of domestic cherries are very different from those of imported cherries. Generally, imported cherries will be darker and show dark red. However, the color of domestic cherries is lighter, usually bright red. Imported cherries will have larger particles, a lot of juice, a sweet taste and a delicate and soft taste. However, domestic cherries will be relatively smaller, and the flesh will be more compact, and there will be a little sour and sweet feeling.
Third, the ripening season is different. Generally, the imported cherries are sold to China during the Chinese New Year, and the sales of cherries will be very good during the domestic period, because the imported cherries are generally produced in Chile, and some of them are imported from Canada. The cherries in these places generally mature around August, and when they are ripe, they are picked and then transported to China after a long journey, which is almost sold in China around December.
The cherries sold during the Chinese New Year are basically kept in the cold storage, and the freshness has already come down. However, domestic cherries are generally produced in Shandong or Jiangsu and Zhejiang provinces, and its maturity is in May, so in the middle of the year, the cherries appearing on the market are basically domestic cherries. Because the imported cherries are not mature at this time, and last year's cherries can't be preserved until this time, so the origin of cherries can be judged by time.
Fourth: the nutritional value of cherries is different. The nutritional value of imported cherries is higher than that of domestic cherries, so the price will be more expensive. Imported cherries will be darker in color, so its iron content is very high. The imported cherries are not so dark in color, and some are yellow, which is the same as the domestic small cherries. Therefore, the domestic cherries are basically a hybrid of cherries and cherries. From the nutritional value, the imported cherries are definitely more comprehensive, and the taste is actually similar. However, if you want to choose from a nutritional point of view, the imported cherries are definitely better.
