People often say: "Eat breakfast like a king, lunch like a commoner, and dinner like a beggar." This shows how important breakfast is in a person's day. However, many people don’t have time to cook in the morning, so they eat a few bites at a roadside stall or breakfast shop for breakfast, which is very bad for their health in the long run.
Recently, Xiao Goose has come up with a breakfast for lazy people. It is made from whole grains and is nutritious and delicious. It is simple and fast and tastes better than hand cakes. Even a novice in the kitchen can do it right the first time. Let’s see how I did it.
1. Let’s make the noodles first. Use 150g of freshly boiled water to blanch 150g of cornmeal into granular shapes. Blanch the cornmeal with boiling water to make it more delicate and fragrant.
2. After the cornmeal is blanched, add 250g of ordinary flour, 1 small bowl of chopped green onion, and then add 3g of salt. Adding salt has two functions. One is to increase the gluten of the dough, and the other is to increase the salt taste.
3. After stirring evenly, add about 120g of warm water in small amounts in batches, stir until it becomes fluffy without dry flour, and knead into a smooth dough with moderate hardness.
4. After the dough is smooth, roll it into a long strip, divide it into 10 pieces, and knead each piece into a small smooth dough. Brush a layer of oil on a flat plate and put the dough in. Brush another layer of oil on the dough to lock in the water. Cover and bake the dough for 20 minutes. After it's done, press it with your fingers and it won't spring back.
5. After the dough is ready, press it flat, roll it into the shape of beef tongue, fold it in half, roll it up and press it flat.
6. Place a layer of oil paper or plastic wrap on the chopping board, then start from the first rolled embryo and roll it into a pancake. After rolling out, stack them one by one and separate them with oil paper or plastic wrap.
7. After everything is rolled out, cover the top with a layer of oil paper and store it in the refrigerator. It won't break down even after half a year. When eating, just tear off the isolation paper, no need to defrost, just put it in the pan and fry until the pancake puffs up and there are yellow flowers on both sides.
8. For more comprehensive nutrition, you can add 1 to 2 eggs to each cake. If you like ham, you can also add ham sausage.
9. Finally, apply your favorite sauce, add fried eggs, a piece of lettuce, and one or two spring onions, roll it up and serve. The crust is soft, chewy, rich in layers, nutritious and delicious, and tastes very good.
Isn’t it very simple? It is less oily and healthier than hand cakes and egg cakes, and it is more nutritious after adding whole grains. You can also spend a few minutes frying a plate of shredded potatoes, or make some simple dishes such as cold cucumber shreds, so that you don’t repeat the same thing every day.
