Chaoshan Beef Balls is a famous Han Chinese snack in Guangdong. It originates from Hakka cuisine. It has a history of nearly a hundred years. In the early days, most of the vendors selling beef meatballs were Hakka people, who carried small burdens and sold them from street to street. Especially at night, in the Han River area behind the Hanji Road Bajiao Pavilion to the park, there are often shuttle boats, with a small lamp hanging on the bow, specifically for the Hakka cargo ships moored there for the sale of late-night snacks, specializing in selling beef meatballs. In the 1940s, there were a lot of food stalls along Xinxing Street, and beef meatballs were the most unique and famous.
