There are marlins in that ocean in the world.
The marlin is a famous large fish described in Hemingway's novel The Old Man and the Sea. Like a swordfish, it has a long upper jaw and swims back to the ocean at high speed. Its dorsal fin extends to the back of the body and its ventral fin becomes filiform, which can be used as a difference from swordfish. The hooked marlin splashes violently and its jumping appearance is very spectacular. Compared with other fish with long guns, it is characterized by a shorter kiss. * * * There are several kinds. Two of them, T.audax and T.albidus, are commonly known as marlin. Short-nosed marlin (short-nosed marlin, short-nosed swordfish [T.brevirostris]) is rare in the Pacific Ocean. Among beaked fish, it is small, blue on the upper side and silvery on the lower side, with a body length of less than 1.8 m and a weight of less than 27 kg, and people know little about it.
