1. Use a toothpick. Insert the toothpick into the top of the pomegranate and make a few cuts downward, or even along the diameter of the pomegranate if you are strong enough, and then gently break it open with your hands.
2. Roll and pinch. Place the whole pomegranate in a washing bowl and tap the surface of the pomegranate with your fingers. Then place the pomegranate back on a flat surface and gently roll the pomegranate with your fingers while applying some pressure, which will help break the shell. Once the shell is broken, you can gently pinch the segments with your fingers and take them apart gradually , until all the seeds are removed.
3. Underwater peeling. Cut the pomegranate into four pieces. Place one piece in the water and gently press and knead it to dislodge the seeds from the skin. Repeat this step until all the seeds are separated and float. Strain the water through a stainless steel or sieve, leaving the seeds behind.
4. Cutting and peeling method. Cut off the top and bottom of the pomegranate. Using a knife, carve a shallow incision into the outer skin of the pomegranate and then gently split the pomegranate in half with your hands. This can be done by using both hands to gently bureau the sides of the pomegranate so that the seeds are exposed. Then gently peel the skin with a fork or your fingers to remove all the seeds.
5. Bucket peeling method. Put the whole pomegranate into a large bucket and gently tap the surface of the pomegranate with a small wooden stick. The bucket should be placed on different sides while tapping. This will cause the pomegranate's seeds to be ejected and collect at the bottom of the bucket. Then pour the pomegranate into a bowl that is smaller in diameter than the bucket, remove the seeds and strain out the rind.
All of the above methods can be used to peel a pomegranate without a knife, so you can choose the right method according to your personal habits and preferences.
