Lianyungang is the eastern bridgehead and national comprehensive transportation hub of the new Eurasian continental bridge, which has the advantages of combining sea transportation with land transportation. Lianyungang is the first batch of coastal open cities in China, the national demonstration zone for regional cooperation between the east and the west, the Shanghai Cooperation Organization base and the national civilized city, and it is part of the China (Jiangsu) Pilot Free Trade Zone.

Lianyungang is located in the central coastal area of China, in the northeast of Jiangsu Province, between 33 59' and 35 07' north latitude and 65 438+065 438+08 24' ~ 65 438+065 438+09 48' east longitude. It is adjacent to the Yellow Sea in the east, facing North Korea, South Korea and Japan across the sea, connecting Rizhao City in Shandong Province in the north, Linyi City in Shandong Province and Xuzhou City in Jiangsu Province in the west, and Suqian City, Huai 'an City and Yancheng City in Jiangsu Province in the south.
