Common problems and solutions of ice maker 1. Failure phenomenon: compressor works but does not cool. Cause of failure: leakage of refrigerant or damage of two-way solenoid valve and lax closing.
Maintenance method: after leak detection, fill the leak, add refrigerant or replace the solenoid valve.
2. Fault phenomenon: The compressor can refrigerate all the time, and the water pump can pump water all the time, and the ice is getting thicker, but it can't automatically enter the deicing process to drop ice.
Cause of failure: The water temperature probe fails, which makes the intelligent control system unable to effectively sense the water temperature and work, the misjudgment program is wrong, or the controller is faulty.
Maintenance method: Measure the' resistance value of the water temperature probe with a multimeter (when the water temperature in the water tank is close to 0℃, unplug the three-core wire in the control box and test the resistance values of the two wires on both sides). If the resistance value is above 27K, it is judged that the controller is broken and should be replaced. If the resistance value is below 27K, either of the two wires must be disconnected.
Meaning one, adjust the resistance value to between 27K and 28K by connecting resistors in series.
3. The machine enters the deicing procedure (the water pump stops working and the compressor stops cooling) but the ice does not fall off. Cause of failure: The two-way solenoid valve is damaged.
Maintenance method: replace the solenoid valve body or outer coil.
4. The water shortage light is on, but the machine does not automatically replenish water. Cause of failure: there is no water in the pipeline or there is a fault in the inlet solenoid valve, and the valve will not open.
Maintenance method: check the water inflow of the pipeline, and restart the machine after opening the waterway if there is no water. Replace the water inlet solenoid valve if it is faulty.
5. The compressor works, but the water pump never works (no running water). Cause of failure: the water pump is damaged or the water pump is blocked by scaling.
Maintenance method: clean the water pump or replace it.
