Chuanqiong is an irregular nodular fist-shaped mass with a diameter of 2 ~ 7 cm. The surface is yellow-brown, rough and shriveled, with many parallel raised knuckles, concave round stem marks on the top, and many tubercle root marks on the lower side and knuckles.

Solid, not easy to break, yellow-white or grayish-yellow, scattered with yellow-brown oil chambers, forming a wavy ring pattern. Strong smell, bitter and pungent taste. Slightly numb tongue, slightly sweet.

The bleeding syndrome of yin deficiency, excessive fire, excessive sweating, excessive heat and no blood stasis and pregnant women should use it with caution.

Chuanqiu is a commonly used medicine in gynecology, which has the function of promoting blood circulation and smoothing qi, but it can't be used more, especially for people with bleeding, such as women's menstrual period.
