Rice Dumplings and Crispy Duck Noodles
Nowadays, many people like to eat snacks, and snacks from all over the world come in a wide variety of flavors. However, among the snacks I have eaten, the most unforgettable ones that I miss day and night are undoubtedly the rice dumplings and crispy duck noodles from my hometown in Sanhe.

Rice dumplings, as the name suggests, are made of early indica rice dumplings, about the size of a woman's palm, after the frying pan's high temperature cooking, become golden, eat a bite of the outside of the burnt tender aroma. The filling is usually made from dried shrimp, tofu, green onions and starch with condiments. Some cost a little more and put a dried shrimp in each rice dumpling to increase its taste and flavor.

The noodles of the crispy duck noodles are also made from early indica rice, about the thickness of a small thumb, round and long, called rice noodles in our hometown. After the rice noodles are boiled in a pot, they are put into a large white porcelain bowl and topped with freshly boiled duck broth made from our own unique ingredients, and finally sprinkled with a sprinkling of green onions, a bowl of fragrant crispy duck noodles comes out of the pot. The rice noodles are smooth, warm and full of flavor. The duck meat is soft and flavorful, and the serving size is still generous. I drank every drop of the soup every time I ate it.

I remember when I was a kid, when my dad was still in good health, every week he would take the four of us little brothers and sisters to Sanhe Old Street to eat rice dumplings and crispy duck noodles. We walked from the dam on the Hangbu River, jumping and chasing after each other, often leaving laughter all the way. When the rice dumplings and crispy duck noodles were served, the four of us little brothers couldn't wait, holding the rice dumplings in one hand and eating the noodles in the other, the rice dumplings squeaking, the noodles sucking and giggling. And dad is always on the sidelines happily watching us.

Now that my father is old and can't go out on the street by himself, and my four little brothers and sisters have grown up and are away from home all the time, it's been a long time since I've been out on the street eating rice dumplings and crispy duck noodles like I used to do.

With the development of Sanhe Old Street, and the fact that it was the site of the Great Victory of Sanhe and the former residence of Yang Zhenning during the Taiping Heavenly Kingdom, it gradually became a famous tourist area in the province - Sanhe Ancient Town - and the popularity of the rice dumplings and crispy duck noodle naturally increased greatly.

The rice dumplings are no longer only served at breakfast, but started to be sold at stalls throughout the day, and have become one of the specialties of Sanhe Old Street.

I can't go back to my hometown for several years because of my work, and naturally I don't have the pleasure of eating rice dumplings and crispy duck noodles, which can be described as a mouthful when I think about it. The younger brothers sometimes return home, eat rice dumplings and crispy duck noodle photos sent to friends, but also to see my mouth watering pain.

There is a go back to the mother. Before breakfast, my mother said I went to buy some rice dumplings. I was delighted, I did not expect my mother's side of the sale of rice dumplings. We bought a lot of back, and three rivers home compared to the rice dumplings, the size is smaller, the taste is also general, but I still eat a not left.

Now sometimes walking on the street, looking at the snack street everywhere in full swing, and my heart still misses the old rice dumplings and crispy duck noodles, which is not only full of my thoughts about my hometown, but also carries a lot of good memories of my childhood.

I really hope that one day, the four of us can get together again, while my father is still alive, and bring my father to eat a few rice dumplings and a bowl of crispy duck noodles at the breakfast store in the old street of Sanhe.
