Modulated milk powder is a powder made by removing almost all the water in milk by freezing or heating it and drying it.
The standards used for prepared milk powder are not as strict as those for formula milk powder, so the formula is more flexible and diverse. In order to meet the needs of different groups of people, white sugar, flavors and other taste-improving ingredients are added. In addition, compared with formula milk powder, modulated milk powder is suitable for a wider range of people, such as children, teenagers, pregnant women, middle-aged and elderly people, etc., and there are more and more types of modulated milk powder.
Precautions for preparing milk powder
1. The concentration is appropriate. Be sure to prepare milk powder according to the recommended proportions on the milk powder packaging. Do not increase or decrease the concentration of milk powder without authorization. Milk that is too thin or too thick is not conducive to the healthy growth of your baby. If the milk is too thin and too low in nutrients and energy, long-term consumption will affect the baby's growth and development; if the milk powder is too thick, it will increase the burden on the child's kidneys and increase the risk of kidney stones and intestinal necrosis.
2. The water temperature is moderate. The water temperature for preparing most milk powder is recommended to be lower than 70°C, generally between 40°C and 55°C, or even lower. The purpose is to protect the activity of various nutrients in the milk powder to the greatest extent. The solubility of milk powder prepared in this temperature range is relatively ideal, and it can quickly reach the appropriate temperature for the baby's entrance after preparation.
