Squidward Tentacles is an animated character from the American cartoon SpongeBob SquarePants. A big-nosed octopus. Surface easily angry and snobbish, jealous. Quite narcissistic, think they have artistic talent, but the heart is still very good sense of justice.

Octopus is bald, but once had long, curly yellow hair that he wished would grow back. Lives in a house modeled after an Easter Island portrait. He believes he will become an artist one day. He will look at things rationally, (though always broken by SpongeBob SquarePants.) Needs peace and quiet. (Forever disturbed by SpongeBob and Patrick.) His sensible maturity fails him in the presence of SpongeBob, and he becomes angry at him for being worldly, but simpler. Almost a representation of a superficially mature looking adult, compromising with reality, not talking about loving life but willing to enjoy it, (if SpongeBob doesn't bother him) still retaining a little bit of his own dreams (like becoming an artist). These are all ordinary images of a middle-aged man who couldn't be more ordinary, but the story is only better when an image like his is put together with the geek that is SpongeBob SquarePants.
