Morphological characteristics of snakehead
The body is round and rod-shaped. The body length is 3.2-3.7 times of the head length; 4.5-4.8 times the height. The head is slightly flat and there are many small sensory holes in the back. Kiss the rectangle. The mouth is cracked. There are fine teeth in both jaws, vomerous bone and palatal bone, and sometimes there are mixed big teeth. The branchial fissure is large, and the branchial joint 10- 13. Dorsal fin 47-52, gluteal fin 3 1-33, lateral line scale 60-6 1. The caudal fin is round. The upper part of the body is grayish black, and the lower part is grayish yellow or grayish white. There are black stripes arranged in figure 8 on the side. There are two vertical black stripes on the head side.
