A glycoprotein extracted from Pleurotus ostreatus has a strong cytotoxic effect on S 180, ascites tumor ECA, liver cancer Hepa, human B lymphoma cell Raji and leukemia cell K562 in vitro, and it is selective for different cancer cells. In vivo experiments show that this component can inhibit the proliferation and invasion of S 180 tumor cells in mice, make tumor tissue necrosis, lymphocyte infiltration, and form a thick fibrous capsule, suggesting that it has the function of fibrosis of tumor tissue.
