Because we planted a seedling, it has a natural growth process, and when it grows, it will bear fruit. If your seedlings are small after the cucumber has grown, it is recommended to remove them instead of keeping them. In this way, the nutrition made by cucumber leaves will promote the growth of nutrition (rattan).
If it is not removed, the cucumber will not grow after the leaves make nutrients for it. This is not profitable. Cucumbers don't grow up either. When the number of cucumber leaves exceeds 10, it is best to leave them. You can gain a little weight after your grades come out.
Cucumber seedlings are small, its root system is weak, and its root system is weak in fruit setting. The serious consumption of water and nutrients in fruit 1 will lead to poor root growth, large plants and weakened fruit yield in the later stage.
Generally speaking, it is not strong enough, its branches and leaves have not yet opened, it has not even begun to grow real leaves, and it has not started climbing vines. The task now is to make it go to the pot smoothly, slow down the seedlings and succeed, then raise it well and let it blossom and bear fruit.
So the first two fruits are planted in the early stage. Try to pinch it off, don't keep it. What we have to do is to supply water and fertilizer to the cucumber after it is cut off, so that it can grow roots quickly, and the cucumber that grows later will be kept and let it bear fruit naturally.
method of grafting
1, grafting method: the cotyledons of cucumber seedlings are unfolded, and the suitable grafting period is pumpkin seedlings 1 true leaves to 5 minutes. When operating, the bamboo stick is 0.2 ~ 0.3 cm thick and the tip is sharpened. Insert the tip of the bamboo stick near the inside of the base of the first cotyledon of the rootstock, and the other cotyledon is obliquely below, and the insertion depth is about 0.5 cm, so as not to puncture the epidermis of the rootstock.
Use a blade to feed the cucumber from about 0.5 cm below the cotyledon, and cut one knife on each of the opposite sides, with a section length of 0.5 ~ 0.7 cm and smooth edges. After the scion is cut, the bamboo stick is pulled out from the rootstock and inserted into the scion, and the insertion depth is equal to the height of the cut and the rootstock jack.
2. Docking method: 1 The true leaves of cucumber begin to unfold, and the pumpkin leaves of rootstock are completely unfolded for grafting. Carefully dig out rootstock seedlings and scion seedlings from the seedling tray. First, cut off the growing point between the two cotyledons of pumpkin seedlings with a blade. On the side perpendicular to the cotyledon direction below the cotyledon, it is obliquely cut downward at an angle of 35 ~ 40 degrees, reaching 2/3 of the hypocotyl diameter, and the length of the incision is about 1 cm.
Cucumber seedlings are inclined upward at the angle of 25 ~ 30 degrees under cotyledons 1 cm, reaching the depth of hypocotyl diameter 1/2 ~ 2/3, and the incision length is about 1 cm. Insert the incision of cucumber and pumpkin together accurately and quickly, and clamp it firmly with plastic clips. The posture after grafting is that the pumpkin seed leaves support the cotyledons of the scion cucumber. They overlap up and down. After grafting, the grafted seedlings are planted in nutrient pots.
