Quanzhou famous fishing village (蟳埔) is very rich in history and humanities resources, and only the existing ancient buildings, temples and "oyster-shell houses" with the style of Southern Fujian and Quanzhou abound in a colorful manner, which really dazzle people.
Shunji Palace of Crab-curtained Sea: it was built in Wanli period of Ming Dynasty (1573-1620), and was expanded in Shunzhi 18th year of Qing Dynasty (1661), and was rebuilt in the 20th year of the Republic of China (1931). The palace sits in the north to the south, and now exists as two entries, in which there is a worship pavilion and a worship court, as well as a flagpole clamping stone and a number of hundred-year-old banyan trees. Palace building area of about 1500 square meters.
The palace mainly worships Mazu, the goddess of the sea, and the main hall is five rooms in width and four rooms in depth, with a hard mountain style. Top Road Princes Hall: Sacrificed to the three Princes Lei, Xiao and Wen, built in the Qing Dynasty during the Guangxu period (1875-1908), rebuilt in 1980, with an area of 40 square meters, the birthday of the God is on the 13th day of the 5th month every year.
Wu Chu Guan Di Temple: dedicated to Guan Di, built in the late Qing Dynasty, rebuilt in 1987, with an area of about 50 square meters.
Numerous Folk Belief Temples: There are 14 folk belief temples in the whole village***. Including Mazu Palace, the Land Lord Palace, the Prince Palace, the City God, Yin Gong, etc., of which the Prince Palace is the most, *** there are 8, one of which is the whole village *** with the same worship, that is, "the Holy God Shengmao". The other princes are the Great Patrol Uncle, the King's Uncle, the Sung Kung Uncle, the Cai Kung Uncle, the Red-faced General, the Shaw King, the Ying Ling Kung and the San Kung Kung.
Oyster Shell Alley: mainly scattered in ? Pu, Jinqi two villages, especially in? The oyster-shell houses are mainly scattered in the two villages of Jinqi, especially in Dupu. So far there are more than thirty complete oyster shell houses in Donghai street, and? The village of Chengpu has half of them. The advantages of oyster-shell houses are that they are made of local materials and have good sound insulation, and like wall-molded houses, they are warm in winter, cool in summer, and are not afraid of moths. Some people say that its walls are so strong that it can withstand the attack of cannons. Therefore, there is a saying of "a thousand years of brick, ten thousand years of oyster shell" in the coastal folklore. The big oyster shell houses in Po have a patio (i.e. two entrances), while the small ones have only a separate building, but they are all built in a staggered manner. Shell between the small stone alley twists and turns, on both sides of the sea oyster shells layer upon layer built shell walls, composed of a unique coastal fishing village of ancient residential landscape.
